Roderick Pask
I own a Titanium Ecoboost I can connect my phone but not a lot more. A new Fiesta is scheduled for 2017. Look at the latest (whispering) Corsa. Internet Radio and One Star creates your own Hot Spot .I don't think I would ever buy a Corsa but Ford seem very slow in 'Up Teching' the Fiesta. What do you think?
Ryan_Tango
The Fiesta does seem to be behind the Focus and Mondeo and many of Ford models seem to be technified
Ford_Man
The fiesta is now an old model which has been in cycle 5+ years where as the newer hatches such as corsa have recently had their changes. I suspect the new Fiesta will get all the new tech in 2017
mills705
It's behind on the tech but way ahead in the engine department. If they even just got sync 3 in it or a more colourful screen with sat nav etc as std then this would be a huge jump
Sportvan
Ford generally seem to hold back on the leading the pack for technology, possibly because why go through the development of something and then it never sells. Ford needs to realise that people are looking at smaller cars, but they want the proper big car tech, same with the vans, the amount of companies that have asked about my sport van because rules are changing on the double cabs is increasing, but they loose interest when they find out it only has a 1.5 derv with 95ps. A bigger engine is needed and a 3pot ecoboost option as well as decent options including xenon lights.
mills705
My friend owns a c1 and the interior is fantastic considering what it is. Shame the ka is lacking in features like the c1! I think come the new edition the fiesta will be good. I used to have a punto of the grande variety. It had bluetooth and usb technology back in 2008. For the year I was chuffed to bits about it. Move on to 2015 and the interior has not changed one bit!
PhDream
Fiestas in the US have the large touchscreen, the same kind you get in the Focus. I wonder why Ford hasn't updated Fiestas in Europe?
Sportvan
because myford touch looks a mess in the fiesta!
MarksST
Part of the Vauxhall one star in the corsa is a emergency assist which has been on the fiesta since 2013, seat and Vauxhall adverts are going on about the car reading ted text messages, again fiestas have been doing that since 2013 with ford sync. Who exactly is behind in the tech game? Phone tech becomes out of date so quickly it's hard for a car designed a few years ago to be fully up to date, I like gadgets but some tech just isn't needed, in car hot spot for one.
mills705
In my opinion if they put the screen from a focus/ mondeo into the fiesta job is good!
alexp999
It looks awful imo: Will be much better in the 2017 car when the dash will be designed with a touchscreen in mind.
MarksST
I hope they don't put a touchscreen in, I've driven the Clio and 208 which both have touch screens, glare is any issue, they get covered in fingerprints and are easy to use when moving, with buttons you get to know where they are just by feel the touchscreen has no reference and if you drive over a dump or dip in the road you press the wrong icon. Look good at night though.
alexp999
I really like my touchscreen on the Focus. It is set in so doesn't see too much glare and I have a really good screen protector fitted so fingerprints are no longer an issue. The other advantage of the design on the Focus is that there is a nice area in front of the screen to rest your wrist on and stops you miss hitting what is on the screen. I hope on the next Fiesta they integrate it nicely so it looks like it supposed to be there. I hate the designs which look like a tablet stood up on top of the dash. MarksST
YeS, that was probably the problem with the Clio and 208, just looks like an afterthought, think even the A class merc is like that.
NimaOP
Will prices for the 2013-2016 Fiesta's plummet when the 2017 model is announced?
alexp999
You should be able to get a good deal on a pre built new one as they try and clear stock when it comes out. Won't make much difference to used prices though.
winemart2
Do you want a car or mobile phone/electronics? Personally i'd prefer an A35 van with ecoboost engine without all these seat/door/airbag etc sensors to go wrong. Ludicrous. Lovely profits for Ford dealers. Presumably designed for numpties who don't know (or care) better. My 2014 Tit has been terrific, give it a few years down the road and it'll cost me a fortune, prolly cos the local dealer/grease monkeys have zero idea of how to fix the probs. Your OBD port says that your whelping wheel is knackered, sir. That'll be £300 quid. Also, your touchscreen has developed a fault, £400 quid. Your ABS is ....... etc etc etc. They're in it to make money, end of.
BrainsCharlie
I like the ambient red lighting on my Mk 7.5. What I don't like is the illumination around the heater controls there doesn't appear to be any. It's very difficult to see where the ventilation direction and fan are set to in the dark. My previous Ford had illuminated knobs.
ayrshiredude
I've been looking at various new cars recently as I'm looking to downgrade from my Fiesta ST. Probably going to go back to the Zetec S. I've looked at the Corsa SRI-VX Line, the Peugeot 208 the Clio, the and Megan Coupe. Nothing has came close to either the engine, the kit, the looks or the price of the Fiesta. I do like the touchscreen but not one of the cars I looked at came anywhere close to the fiesta. I guess there's a lot more to a car than a touchscreen. I do however think if the fiesta had one it would be the ultimate car lol
chrisroberson99
Did you drive any of them? The 208s new 1.2T is meant to be a great engine.
ayrshiredude
Did you drive any of them? The 208s new 1.2T is meant to be a great engine. Yeah I did, it was ok but GT Line has no sports styling or suspension. It wasn't a bad ride, just not as composed as I'm used to. The only issue was I Could only get the 3 door model as a factory order which mean t several months. Same issue with the Corsa. I wanted the 1.0T but noone had any.
