Fiesta probelm, possible ICV?

I have a fiesta 1.3 8 valve (the tappy one ) . after driving along, i slow down to stop at the end of a road and the engine cuts out. it also happens when you rev the engine to about 3/4000 rpm when stationary, then let go of the throttle and let it return to idle, it just cuts straight out. am i right in thinking that it is a faulty idle control valve? that is the most likely thing. other possible things could be TPS or AFM? thanks
