jeebowhite Posted November 10, 2015 Share Posted November 10, 2015 Nice read, agreed the MK1 was certainly the best of the best, wasnt a fan of the MK2 styling (I say that like I was there!) and the MK3 looked the better of the worse. Its a shame it went out of fashion and so many were written off by young lads, but I wouldnt mind one day getting my hands on an MK1 2.0! My mate's Grandad had one, custom two-tone paint job, 3 litre, slatted rear window and spoiler, and to top it off it had air horns. He eventually chopped it in for a Peugeot 309. God knows why.
