I'll be there again this year, but might decide to camp there the night before to avoid all the horrible queues.

How long does it take you Clive, 4/5 hours?

I have to say the hardest part for me is getting up at 4:30/5am... but I prefer to just make it a day thing, although I'd not be able to do it if it was any further.

Took me 6 hours with stops.

It's quite a boring drive though so I prefer to do it fresh rather than after an early start to avoid queues and a long hot day without really sitting down anywhere.

I strongly recommend gazebos and foldy chairs this year.

I think folding chairs will be okay but gazebo has insurance and liability implications for the club iirc.

I left town at 3am last year :(

About 2 hours for me If I remember correctly.  I quite enjoy the drive down, M6 onto the M1, nice scenery & we usually stop at the services on the way there and back, kids aren't to struck on the driving & walking around though lol.  Talking of the M6 I don't think I've ever been down it & not gone through roadworks

Classic cars are more than welcome and most definitely welcomed on the club stand.

When it gets nearer to the date you can either buy online direct from the organisers or from the club if you want a stand pass to display your car.

The tickets go on sale a couple of weeks before the show and are per person.

Stand pass is per car.

If you want to show your car in the FOC stand then you can request one with your tickets via us.

Remember that spaces are limited and we have no control over numbers or where our stand is located.

Last year we had a location that I reckon we could have had double the amount on the plot.

Will be attending this year would prefer to buy my tickets through the club though, but would be shy to show off my car as it's not exactly a show stopper xD.

Don't be shy, it's not about having show quality cars as much as it is about Members coming together and putting faces to names and having a good yarn.

The more cars on the stand we get the better.

I was wondering about how immaculate your car had to be, to be on the club stand too:unsure:

Not really a shy thing but more of a shiny thing:mellow:

I still need to sort out some dog day care for Ford Fair, preferably near Silverstone, or at least on the way.  I don't think a dog sitter this end would be too chuffed to have Brandy dropped off at 4am and nor would Brandy - there'd also be around 16 hours of howling and whining if it was Dorset sitter.

As long as the car is clean then anything more is a bonus.

My work dogs will go to the local MoD Police kennels and my collie will stay with wifey.

Anyone who was there last year and saw a certain Escort van on our stand will tell you not to worry haha.

I can at least get in for a detail before going however it's a 190 mile drive for me so by the time I get there it will be dirty no doubt :)

Quick detailing spray and a few microfibres cloths will clean it up nicely after a long drive

180 miles for us.

A decent LSP before setting off will help. Personally I'd jet wash it off at a service station or something before QD at the circuit. Last year it was swirl Mark galore & it broke my heart..
