gillhammer
Hi, I'm new to these forums. I have a '51 Focus as an extra runaround which wasn't used much for the last 4 months, as a result the battery completely discharged. Usually when this happens when I get the battery sorted I just put in the code to reactivate the radio and I'm good to go. This time the unit isn't accepting the code and I've read in the manual that I've only got 10 tries before it locks out - I'm pretty sure I'm up to 6 already. (i) Is there a factory setting/default code I can enter to by-pass the code I've used before? My mum had the car from new and then passed it on to me for my sons (for when they pass their tests) so I know the code has been the same since it was purchased as we've had to use it multiple times over the last 14 years. (ii) If the unit is mashed is there any way to get my CDs out of the changer without the code? Any help appreciated.
james_60
Hi Gill Im guessing by now that pressing Eject isnt doing anything. If you radio is showing lock 10, hold down the button 6 on your radio then switch your radio on. This will give you 3 extra attempts to enter the code? If not hold buttons 1 then 6 and do the same as above. BEFORE you do I reckon you have the wrong code as it would not lock otherwise. If you try again with the wrong code it will lock "13" and you will have to pay to get done by Fords, Expensive so be sure you have the correct code Jamie
