frankieboy67 Posted January 5, 2016 Share Posted January 5, 2016 I recently brought myself a 2001 - 51 reg Focus LX TD Di - the last owner said that the tailgate wouldn`t open/unlock. when i put the key in the drivers door to unlock it all other doors unlock apart from the tailgate. I`ve tried to unlock the tailgate using its own lock but no joy (the car was brought without a remote keyfob) ... i have read various things regarding this issue & it appears to be a common issue ... some folks have said about a 20 amp fuse behind the fusebox thats behind the glovebox ... some have mentioned it might be the lock itself siezing due to moisture getting into the lock mechanism itself ... i am more than capable of doing any work myself, i was just wondering if anyone on here has any ideas that might help me to resolve this ??? ... thankyou Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
