JC600
Failed it's MOT today, horn decided not to work on test! Only advisories were. Slight chaff on front brake flexi, and rear springs drop when jacked but assume correct position when driving. But knew that anyway as it's lowered. Will be fixed tomorrow, think it's blown a fuse.....as yesterday the isolation switch threw a hissy fit, flattened the battery, and lights etc were going crazy....so I went and took the cables off the switch and connected the main cables direct to the battery how it should be. Just need to remove switch and fill the hole in the scuttle panel. :)
JC600
MOT passed now! Connector had come loose, drive shaft seals have also been done. So all good to go again. :D

JC600
Got a few things to do, firstly I need the idle co2 setting. It's not rich enough so have to feather the throttle when in traffic etc. Remove stupid switch from scuttle panel, fill hole, paint and blend in. And all booked in for a custom longlife exhaust....Can't wait lol.
JC600
The last pic of the car with This stupid thing And off Hole filled, and sanded back. And painted Just need to let the paint harden, then blend it in. It's not perfect......but first time I've filled a hole in on a car, and better than that switch lol :)
Dan P
Pardon my ignorance but what was that thing? Looks much better without it btw.

It was a isolation switch that the last owner fitted. Cuts power off...was a right pain, and was playing the electrics up. Cheers Dan, been bugging me since I brought the car. :)
JC600
Blended in as best I can, looks loads better than it did. :)
chemfusion
Was the painting just with an off-the-shelf spay can of the right colour? How did you blend it in?

Yeah, just a rattle can from Halfords. When painting I didn't paint right upto the tape, so I didn't get a hard edge. Once paint had hardened, I used cutting compound with 1500 then 2000 grit wet and dry. Till blended in. Paint is then left dull, so I done a few more passes with compound and a damp cloth. Then auto glym super resin polish, about 10 coats. To build the shine back up. In a week or so I'll add a few coats of wax. :)
JC600
Calipers and drums painted, another job off the list. :) Wheels back on. Happy with the results. :D
JC600
First of all, a pic with no switch in the scuttle panel. :D Then, got a custom longlife exhaust system made. :D Downpipe silencer cut off, 2 1/4" bore to flange. 2" bore from downpipe back with 2 x silencers. 2 1/4" rolled out tip. Video clip, sounds great on road. Quite when cruising and a nice rasp when you put your foot down. Loads more responsive now too. :D https://youtu.be/nkNCUsOSvO8
