madisbad
hi, hoping someone can help, had the alternator go today, 5.30 am stuck on the severn bridge, 15 miles from newport passport office on way to get passport for retarded step son who flew to turkey today lol, anyway, ended up being dropped at a nationwide centre who kindly replaced the alternator and charged the battery for a very extortionate fee of 201 quid! on the way back home i noticed a slight tinny rattling noise and my electric windows dont auto close, i can press them once and they open to the bottom but i am having to keep my finger on the button to close them, i was wondering if something will need reseeting or something is loose, i am extremely thick when it comes to car maintanance, the car will be back at a nationwide tomorrow but was hoping if its something they have done or not done i could point it oput, many thanx for any help given
gaz6076
You can try resetting the regulators. Fully open the window then close it. Let go of the switch then pull it up again as if to close the window and hold it for around 5-10 seconds
