Sam_1688
A couple of weeks ago I purchased a 2008 fiesta st with 68k miles on her, I drove 3 hours to view the car after a good chat before hand and handed over my hard earned cash and drove her the 3 hours home. The drive home gave me some time with the car to try every button and see if there was any issues. Issues that need sorted so far is, - Mot and service is due the end of this month DONE - Rear discs and pads need replaced but these were included in the sale of the car. DONE - Power steering fluid is very dark and will need changed asap DONE - passenger electric folding mirror clicks when I lock the car FIXED - Drivers heated seat doesn't work - Remote fob is temperamental FIXED Once the above is dealt with some modifications will start to try get a wee bit more power and noise from her. I have ordered genuine for service kit so hopefully it's delivered tomorrow! Anyway some pictures of the car when I got it.

Sam_1688
Well today my lovely other half was playing around on dvla website to see how much it would cost to put her private plate on my fiesta and after clicking next the plate was on the car free of charge! So a mad dash to the local parts place to have 2 plates made up and phone the insurance!! Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Sam_1688
Nice fiesta you have there! Reminds me of my mk6.5 i had in blue. What plans have you got for it? Colour coded boot lock covers are popular. Not got many plans, some simple things but currently looking at a mountune cais and cat back but they are out of stock. Not had much going on due to work but got a long weekend off and with my mot due in 10 days I'm going to get cracking and get is cleaned, rear discs and pads fitted, replace rear lh and rh brake pipes as they were an advisory on the last mot and get her serviced Discs supplied when i purchased the car, these will do just now for the mot. Also got a set of legal pressed plates :D Going to be a busy day tomorrow. Sent by typing with one fat finger on my mobile device
Sam_1688
Well finally finished for today and I got plenty done.. I woke up to the postman to find my member pack here :D thanks James So I went to Halfords to pick up a dash cam for the other half and ended up purchasing an underseat vibe subwoofer! I'm not sure if I'm fitting it or not but didn't have time today so will look at it later on. I then went via vauxhall to pick up an astra rear wiper and arm And had it fitted which looks miles better! I then got onto the the rear brakes and they were in a poor state! Nearside rear caliper hand brake was seized on and the sliders were solid! So all freed off and working as it should ready for the mot! Old Old vs new pads All put back together Sent by typing with one fat finger on my mobile device
Sam_1688
I then serviced it and it felt like it was long over due! I also changed the power steering fluid. Old vs new also got k&n oil for the filter. After I got it back on all 4 wheels it was time to give it a good wash as I haven't done it since I got her! I didn't take many photos as I was starting to run out of light.. Iron X at work And all snow foamed, washed, clay barred, polished and waxed! I got the new pressed plates fitted and looks much better! Also put my genuine first aid kit and oil bag in the boot.. Sam_1688
Well I didn't get much done as I hoped but had a look at my temperamental fob! I decided the best place to start would be the battery.. It's no longer temperamental but the lock button has definitely had it so I ordered replacement heavy duty switches and a new case as mine is looking worn out so that should come soon. I also started on the ugly wiring for the subwoofer. So got some braided covering and shrink tubing and coated the part to the sub that might be seen. Small boring update but hopefully have it in for an mot on Tuesday and fingers crossed all goes well! Sam_1688
Picked up the car earlier and it's PASSED!!! only advisory was rear brake pipes from flexy to caliper and I have already ordered replacements, also got a little too exited and spent £1000 on parts!! Oops.... well now the waiting game begins :( Sent by typing with one fat finger on my mobile device

Sam_1688
Well this is all the goodness out the mountune box!! Don't get too excited as I have ate the haribo already [emoji5] Although on close inspection the lid has a little crack so been on the phone to mountune and they are going to replace it.. Some more bad news is that my milltek sports cat is on order and won't be with me till 20th of next month!! Sam_1688
Decided not to bother waiting for the replacement lid to fit the cais and took a massive 20 minutes to fit! All the old air box removed Mountune cais fitted What a difference it makes noise wise, it didn't really feel much quicker but it was only a short drive [emoji39] While I was fitting it another parcel arrived! I love parcels[emoji14] I opted for braided lines instead of ford's own ones plus some better brake fluid to match. Just need to find time to have them fitted [emoji41] Sent by typing with one fat finger on my mobile device
ScorpionSX
Love the car! This version of Fiesta is to me much more appealing than the newer ones and seeing all the goodies that you have for it...nice! Looking forward to see the installation of the subwoofer, do you have any more plans for the interior?

Looking forward to see the installation of the subwoofer, do you have any more plans for the interior? Thanks, I don't have too many plans for the interior as I feel it doesn't need much else. I was going to upgrade the 4 Speakers and have been wondering if I should buy the oem look aftermarket head unit off eBay I did however get another parcel!! I will hopefully get these fitted on Saturday if all goes to plan. I also got new buttons for my fob And quick go with the soldering iron and it's fixed! I now can lock my car off the fob.. I have also have confirmation that my replacement lid for my cais is in the post! So should get that tomorrow. ScorpionSX
I would rather go for one of these: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Touch-Screen-Car-DVD-Player-For-Ford-Focus-2-Mondeo-Kuga-Galaxy-C-MAX-S-MAX/32341525558.html?spm=2114.10010108.1000014.10.sFPxDj - it even has an option to change the backlight to green, so it matches with the rest of the car :) looking forward to see the car lowered, I also received one of these last year and it looks great afterwards! :)

Sam_1688
Well today my plan was to get the underseat subwoofer fitted but after getting the wiring half fitted it turned out to be faulty so it needs to go back! So I put it back together and gave up with it for today and spent some time on my 1980 mini van.. Some pictures if anyone is interested :) It was stored in a barn since 1991 since we got our hands on it.. Sam_1688
I was away on holiday for 2 weeks and came back to my miltek sports cat. Got to wait till the end of the month until the cat back is in stock then get it fitted and mapped! I have a few more goodies on the way too but I blew a chunk on a new tool box as I was sick of my tools being scattered all over the place! Really can't complain for £450. I'm planning on getting the Eibach springs fitted on Saturday. Sent by typing with one fat finger on my mobile device
Sam_1688
my led number plate bulbs arrived so decided to fit them and what a difference! And to compare Fitted! So much Brighter... a very good cheap mod. While I was outside I also looked at my annoying clicky mirror! https://vimeo.com/167940614 So I followed these steps I found on another forum And I'm no longer in the clicky mirror club [emoji41] https://vimeo.com/167941045 Sent by typing with one fat finger on my mobile device
