Injector fault - now PCM replacement ??

Brief history - bought my mondeo 09 in 2010 with 26k on clock. had no issues for first 3-4 years, annual service etc.

since then i've replaced engine (yes engine!!), fuel pump, injectors, belt, and so on..

current issue:

three months ago injector number 4 blew - replaced with local garage (non ford)

injector number 4 blew again - replaced with ford approved injector by ford

injector blew again - replaced under warranty by ford with ford approved injector

today, injector blew AGAIN - FORD NOW SAYING IT IS PCM ISSUE AND THIS NEEDS REPLACED - £1500 !!!

why was this PCM issue not picked up in previous diagnostics ??

at the end of my tether with my local ford branch and this car - can any of this relate back to the initail engine rebuild 2 years ago ??

(on my behalf, ford bought an engine block and built the best engine from my old car engine and newly bought engine - and then my problems seem to have got worse!!)

any help and advice on this ??
