keyless entry

hya have just purchased a 2012 focus titanium and  after advice , the keyless entry  does not allow me to open the car without pressing the key fob when i approach it , on purchase it did say key battery low but i have replaced that so is there a simple solution , any help would be appreciated , works fine when in car .

I believe the keyless entry you are thinking of is different than the one you have. I have keyless entry too on my '13 titanium nav focus, but it's only for starting the car i.e. I can leave the key in my pocket and use the button to start the car, but I still need to press the buttons to lock/unlock/open boot.
