quito
Hi All, I need help. I got my first car recently (Focus mk2, 57 plate). It's a beautiful Aquarius Metallic colour. I have a couple of minor scratches on bodywork (the paint came off and white basecoat is visible), some are deep, some are just thin lines. Bought a tube of Ford touch-up paint and overcoat and wonder if anyone could share any tips on how to get rid of these scratches? I was also thinking about getting some T-Cut Color Fast Blue scratch remover for minor thin line scratches as they must be trickier to deal with with touch-up paint. Any tips? Thanks! GingerFlame
1. t cut is a joke, and in most cases causes more issues than its worth. If the scratches have gone through the paint then t cut will do nothing. Even the "lacquer repair pens" just prevent rust. 2.) There are hundreds of videos on YouTube showing how to use the touch up pens! Not as daunting as you think once you've done 1 or 2. Just remember to use several thin layers. The only way you're going to properly remove light scratches without causing more damage is with a machine polish/correction. And by this I'm not saying use a £15 Halfords polisher. It needs a professional like myself. www.yorkshiredetailing.co.uk - approved resellers of the Highest quality detailing & Valeting supplies
