another what oil (i know)

right i bought some Castrol Magnatec 5w30 oil for my focus.

but before i change the oil ,it says c2 what does that mean is it ok for my focus or do i need to take it back ?

c2 I'm sure is for pugeot Citroen Alfa etc try Castrol oil selector tool on there website to be sure

would it matter or should i get it changed ?

apart from cheap oil and quality oil i thought oil was oil.didn know they did it for certain makes .apart from petrol and diesel .

Castrol recomend 5w20 e,

Castrol Magnatec 5w30 A5 (until end of last year it used to be A1, but they changed it) is what you need to use for your ford focus. euro-car-parts price £27, asda £21 ;-)

Alternative is 5w30 a5 as andy points out, either is ok

Yeah I use A5 in mine, Mobil 3000 5w30, usually on offer somewhere lol.  Can't be too careful with a 1.6TDCi, I'm not sure it'll make much (if any) difference in your 1.6 petrol though?

i took the c2 back and changed it for a5 . tescos £18.50 bargain

that's ok glad you got it sorted petrol and diesel cars use the same oil these days. will have to have a look at Tesco as you never have too much oil lol ;-)

Like andypsp I've used 5w30 in my 2.0 diesel from asda's found it to be alright :)
