Milage Helpppppp!!!

Hi all, having recently installed some new clocks into my 04plate mk1 focus having broken my old set by trying to fit a blue face (im not a chav honest) but doing this i have lost my milage it shud be on approx 47,000 but the clocks think the cars done 2500!!! any help would be apprecaited

I don't think it's possible to change the mileage. We had to have a new panel fitted by a Ford dealer due to a speedo problem. The new panel started from zero and I'm sure the dealer would've set it to the original mileage if that had been possible.

Damn, cheers mate lol i fitted the new clocks myself brand new part from ford, family member is a mechanic so he ordered the part for me £75 for a brand new cluster was chuft lol, trying to find somewhere now to get the milage set back upto the correct one before the MOT is up :( much appreciated tho mate!! thank you

I just put a prominent note of the mileage when the panel was changed in the service booklet. That way I couldn't be accused of trying to mislead anyone about the true mileage. That's also important when it comes to working out when to carry out various service items such as cambelt changes.

what about a mileage correction specialist who will have the right softwear to adjust the mileage for you,

Thanks again guys im still on the hunt for a correction speclist i also wrote in the service book the dials were replaced and put the recpit in (as i do with all the parts i have changed) as ive posted before guys i do apprecaite the help!! many thanks Mike
