Paddy.t
Morning, Just got myself a 58 plate 2.0 TDCI Zetec with the sport pack. Thought I would do a small thread as I change things. First thing to do was upgrade the bulbs, not much point taking a picture as its not getting dark before 10 (ish). But I had them in my last car and they where spot on. Giving it a good clean this afternoon. Ordered the ST grills, fog light surrounds and some pressed plates to go on. Will bang some pics up soon as they turn up. Next will be to stick some more light in the boot as its naff as is. Then stick some red paint on the calipers. Pedals and a few other interior bits to add too. Couple of pics straight after picking it up. Cheers.

Are you going to add more lights in the boot or just upgrade the bulbs?
Paddy.t
Ill add some more, upgraded the bulb and its still pants. The diffuser seems more the problem. Cheers.
Paddy.t
Not much to tell today, fitted the ST lower grill yesterday but while fitting the paint chipped as the plastic bent slightly. Waiting to hear back from seller. If I get no joy ill get it hydro-dipped. Another issue is the reg plate backing is too big and has predrilled holes so need to come up with a way to fill the space. Either a plate holder or a custom size plate.

Paddy.t
Cheers B4ZZ. Little update today; had email back from seller regarding grill, they recognise its faulty due to the flaking paint. Waiting for them to get back to me, hopefully saying they will replace it. Word of warning to anyone buying this grill, its designed for US cars (only found out after email to seller) so thats why the reg plate backing is too deep for a UK plate. Plate holder will solve it I reckon, found one on eBay just the right depth. Gave it another wash and rainX today. Thinking of getting it machine polished and paint corrected due to a few stone chips and dull spots im not happy with. Next quick job is to replace the boot gas struts as they are a bit weak. Crossing my fingers the ones ive got will fit. Paddy👍
Paddy.t
Bore alert... Done a bit more today, my replacement grill came. And so did my plate holder. All ready to go on the car now. Soon as the rain stops. Next thing is a new LED light for the boot. Got this little beauty to fit. Genuine ford from a transit. blue crush
This is a nice focus. I like the things you have done so far! I have the same model but in blue and tempted by the grills and DRLs

If you like the grill Ive stuck one on eBay cheap that needs painting/hydrodipping. Does have two broken clips but is secure when fitted. Wasn't happy with the finnish of paint so contacted seller and they replaced it. Going to spray fog light surrounds, mud flaps and sill where wipers are this week. Most of the bits I want to do are just to freshen it up. More polishing too. Paddy👍

Painted and lacquerd the fog lights last night, cleaned the chrome ring's up and sorted the fitment of the DLR'S. First image is before paint. Second all done.

Paddy.t
Remap update; 175 bhp and 330 ft/lbs. See how she goes now. Ordered another plate holder for rear reg plate. And will be ordering LED replacements for rear lights.
Paddy.t
Remap update; pulls very well right from the off. Picks up even better when higher up the box. More fun to drive but still seeing 45mpg giving it some and 50ish steady so im happy. Going to move the AUX cable to centre console tomorrow (if cable arrives) and fit the rear plate holder (if it arrives). Also need to retune radio after fitting stubby aerial. Need to find the time to get wheels off and paint the calipers. Paddy👍

Paddy👍 Focus looks great, Some hammerite smooth finish silver paint also looks good on the spacer section of the brake discs while you have the wheels off, Ensure to purchase "smooth finish" not "hammerd finish" if purchasing
