We have an old M reg escord 1.8 TD. Does anyone have any idea of what this means, what needs replacing or repairing?
"Nearside front lower (arm) bonded failed and part of of unit is likely to become displaced. [2.4.F.2] " same for offside.

This will be your lower arm bushes, best to buy 2 non gen arms, less hassle then pressing bushes out

Yea, lower arms are a very common mot fail on the escorts, i must have bought at least 4 sets in the last 5 years, mind 3 of those years i was running Peugeot offset wheels causing excess wear on the bushes.

They are not vey expensive and quite simple to do yourself.
