mentaliss
I've come to this site as no reply at all from previous? 'Hi just joined, just bought the above car but have noticed when rolling (for instance in a traffic jam) and everyone starts to speed up there appears to be a slow speed hesitancy almost like the auto is changing up then goes back to Ist gear....this only happens from low speed' ? However I know that my car rolls along smoothly, but pick up is tricky. I usually drop the clutch and put a few revs on if I want to get going. These diesels don't like opening the throttle at low revs, and I guess the auto is trying to compensate but not doing it very well. Does it have a 1st gear over-ride you can use to keep it in 1st until the rpm goes at least over 1500? Peter.
mentaliss
well actually I don't know just bought the car, do autos have such a system? I've since noticed if pulling away hard there appears to be a shudder as if there was a clutch slip...but its auto! I wonder if the whole issue is a weak engine mounting

I wonder if the whole issue is a weak engine mounting On many Autos, a manual mode can be selected by pulling the lever to the right while in position D, then pushing forwards (-) or backwards (+). Engine mount problems are possible, though if your car is 2012, it is a bit young. There are usually 3, one near the top, on the driver side, one under the battery above the gearbox, and one underneath. If there is appreciable movement of the engine when pushed by hand, then the mounts are suspect.
