I'm reasonably tall and have to sit quite far back, yet still have to be a contortionist to reach the belt even in the mk6 ST, the whole car isn't even that big!! Must be worse for the short people though lol! Tallness and lanky legs gives issues getting out in tight car park spaces as well, much easier in the 5dr Focus despite its extra width. Then there's the pain ofaccessing the rear seats...forget it if you're in a car park, still awkward with space there. Really I can't see any reason for 3 doors apart from saving money...I associate 3 doors with the real poverty models...yet somehow that's a look people want in a sports car...

alexp999
Looks like no illuminated sill plates on the 5dr ST, how rude! Might have to keep the Focus, haha.
Tom-B64
If they actually make an ST in the Bohai Bay Mint then the temptation will be real... Such an awesome and unique colour!
ThaiFiesta
So many choices. Neither Australia (which has the German made ST) nor Thailand (which makes 5 doors for Australasia) have half the variety 😞 Maybe next model when the US Fiestas are made in Thailand. alexp999
Just seen this too: http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/ford/fiesta/97192/next-generation-ford-fiesta-st-likely-to-get-ecoboost-3cyl-turbo If they can produce a 5 dr Fiesta ST, with 200 PS 1.0 Ecoboost, 6 speed box and better ride than the Mk7, I'll be all over it. Could time in quite well for the end of my PCP deal on the Focus. As much as I love the Focus, I only need something Fiesta size, but I wanted 5 doors and the better refinement and interior build. All of which could be on the Mk8....

Back in the day when Ford in the UK made the Escort MKII RS2000's they only came in two doors but occasionally you'd see a four door on our roads and some would laugh at it, saying its a four door Ghia or GL model made to look like a RS replica.... what a chump to try and fool us into thinking its a real RS they'd say! But what they didn't know was that Australia made the Ford Escort too and they made the two door as well as a four door version. Here's a four door RS.
