sarahdick
Not sure if I'm putting this in the right bit of the site, pretty new to this. I have a focus lx 1.6, 110% standard. Looking to make it look a bit better starting with the horrendous black plastics on the car. I have circled the bits in the photo of what I'd like to respray in gloss black (or if members have any other suggestions of colours to go with the car) I'd like to know how to remove the side strips for spraying, or if I can remove all together without damaging paint work as I'm not keen on them. Also, a guide on removing the electric wing mirrors would be great (couldn't find one on here), how to remove the very bottom bit of the front bumper as I may just colour code this part, and the black strip above number plate on the boot, and the bump strip just underneath this in the second picture. I have no idea about cars, and I don't have the money to repair if I !Removed! up hence why I am asking here. Hope someone can help, just to point me in the right direction of how to remove these parts without damaging anything. Sorry for the long post. Also, to save posting another forum, anyone know how I can change the green colour to blue on my dash? Pics attached. Cheers folks
Joss max
Hello sarah Rather than paint the plastics, How about using Wrapping instead ? So many choices open to you regarding colour and pattern like gloss carbon fibre. Have a look through these threads Sarah http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/search/?&q=Vinyl wrapping
sarahdick
Thanks for the reply. I have thought about wrapping, but still have the problem if not having the know-how to remove the parts...any idea? Will have a look through a few of the forums your link gives :) cheers
