how the hell are you lads under 21 affording to buy these new cars anyway lol, i had a 9 year old cavalier at that age, it cost me £250 and i traded it for £1000!

LOL....well said BigJock.

I was wondering exactly the same thing myself. I couldn't even drive at 19 let alone afford £12K+ for a brand new motor!!

Our first car was a tiny Ford Escort Mk1 (1969) which wouldn't go up steep hills LOL.

Steady on buddy, I pride myself in providing the best possible aftersales service I can give. Hammie has seen my work first hand, he can back me up. I have plenty of time for the customers!

I got mine from the Ford Arnold Clark in Linwood. They are UTTER cowboys, the worst company I have ever had to deal with, I've had so many problems and they've fannied about and fixed none of them properly. Buying this car was the biggest purchase mistake I have ever made in my life. I just want my money back to buy a better car from a better dealer or privately!!

This is my 3rd car, although my 1st new one, I will NEVER buy a new car again in my life after the disgraceful experience I have had from Ford and their moron cowboy dealerships.

To be fair, all arnold clark dealers are crap, its not a Ford specific thing. Just try another dealer, you dont have to take it back to the one which you bought it from.

Give the Fiesta a chance, it has not got great reviews in all of the car magazines for nothing! You will struggle to get a "better car" for the same price. Out of interest, what problems have you been experiencing with your fiesta?

I have to say that not ALL Arnold Clark dealers are crap. I have nothing but praise for the Arnold Clark dealer (Renault) in stirling.

Clearly a Renault dealer isn't very helpful to us now, but they should not be lumped in with whatever Arnold Clark has wronged you. :)

First of all, apologies for the rant!! Secondly thanks for the reply.

I have had the car in three times for the skipping MP3 CDs, then for the interior light flickering on and off randomly, the rattles from the interior plastic are AWFUL, I've stuffed two pairs of socks down the front A pillars in an attempt to stop the rattling, which as I kind of expected, isn't covered by warranty. The finish on the bonnet paint is rubbish and I have been advised by someone it is an issue with the lacquering, I have yet to mention it to them as I doubt they will care. The engine malfunction service immediately sign has came on a couple of times, and now, the newest problem is a complete failure of the bluetooth system. I can't debond my phone even though my phone thinks it IS debonded. I can't switch off the bluetooth via the menu, the tick keeps going back in the box when I do!!

In generaly these sound stupid, and I sound stupid for moaning, but I didn't pay extra for a top of the range model with the MP3 CD player and the bluetooth for them not to work!! And I didn't buy a brand new car for it to rattle like maracas when I'm driving it!!

And oh yeh, FORGET the manual's MPG rating, it's out by at least 20%.

And also, my window on the driver's side, when it goes up creaks very loud as if the motor is trying it's hardest to force up against the seal and failing. Ford's solution?... Silicon in the seal. Sounds reasonable? No, now my window is streaked big time, when I scrub it off with Fairy Liquid it's okay until I wind the window down or until it rains then it's covered in silicon again!

That sounds terrible! :o

If i was to experience even half of that I'd be rejecting the car, simple as that!

I know, but I've now done almost 8000 miles so I think it's too late to reject it  Unless you know otherwise? :D

Haven;t a clue mate, but give Citizens Advice Bureau and/or Trading Standards a call to find out what your rights are. I know you have to give them an opportunity to put right any faults, which you have, but to be left feeling totally dissatisfied and with faults still present then i would hope that the law would be on your side after you've paid for something and not got full use of it.

Good luck :)

That is some list

Hope you get these problems put straight, I for one would defiantly not be happy.
