Water pump issues

Hi guys, 

After some advice, I changed my water pump after noticing a leak. Everything went fine until I reconnected the battery and now the car wont start. Ford focus 2003 cl estate. Any one have advice it would be great. I have checked to make sure no connection was loose during the change over. I have lights and it cranks but won't start. Please help as it is only car an wife is pregnant.
