Bought an St spoiler for my mk3.5 Titanium estate.

How do you remove the standard high mount brake light from the body?

Is it just a case of pop it out then fit the spoiler.

Yes on the st spoiler there is. But in a titanium without the spoiler there isnt screw holes and looks like it has to be popped out.

Dont want to break it if ita not the way to remove it.

Hmm.. So does this mean fitting an ST Spoiler does't require any drilling or glue on the body work?

If this is an easy fit that is just a clip in mod, I'm tempted to do this myself!

It has sticky pads to sit on the top of the tailgate.

The basic fit is remove the high level led brake light. Then the ST spoiler has 2 prongs that stick through the opening with clips that lock it into place. Its easy to remove again if needed. I opted to use the 3m sticky pads that came with it for extra grip to the bodywork.

This is for an Estate remember. It may be same for hatchback i dont know.

Interesting. I have an estate so this sounds rather cool.

Any chance you can take some photos of the spoiler?

The little arch is where the original led light was on the boot. This is where the 2 prongs slot through into.

Looking good!

Dunno what I'm more jealous of, the spoiler or the rear privacy glass!

I hope you didn't pay over the odds for it as it's the same unit as the ZETEC S - they did the same with the MK2.5 but slapping the ST letters in the add demanded more monies despite being the same as the ZS.

I know this is an old post but I want to add this spoiler to my estate also. The only place I can see them on sale now is from Ford unpainted £215. I assume the washer feeds into the 3rd break light as it did before? Also did you purchase the clear 3rd break light separately ?

I got this from a breakers on eBay. I thought the ST came with a clear 3rd light as std like this did. The ST brake light has a little extension to it for the washer to hook up to the old hose
