jamiecoe
Hi, I have 2007 fiesta and recently engine warning light has come and the car will go limp and cut out. Then after a short period it will start again fine, sometimes with the message. Have had it checked by mechanic and garage but they can find no fault. Is this common. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

It is very common, but there is no common cause. Rather there are lots & lots of possible causes. I would get a scanner, a generic OBD2 scanner will cover most engine related faults. Keep it in the car, and try to read the codes as soon as possible after any symptoms show. Or even if nothing shows, it won't do any harm. Some codes seem to go away rather quickly, and have evaporated by the time you get to a garage. With some codes (DTCs), and full engine details, someone may well be able to help.
