Ok Chris Assuming your car has sync 1 version. It makes the assumption your phone is currently paired via bluetooth to sync.

Just follow the instructions below.

  • Before you start

There are a few things you should do before starting step 1:

    • Your vehicle must be in Park and running, not in Accessory mode.
    • Familiarize yourself with the controls in your vehicle.
    • Make a note of any saved Navigation points and other personal data. This process will erase all of your data from SYNC, and will restore SYNC to factory settings.
  • On your phone, choose bluetooth from the Settings menu, then select SYNC and delete it. 48

  • On the SYNC screen, press the Phone button. The SYNC screen will display either:

    • Connecting
    • No phone paired or connected
  • Press the Arrows or Seek buttons until Return displays on the screen.
    Press OK.

  • Press the Arrows or Seek buttons until Advanced displays on the screen.
    Press OK.

  • perform-master-reset-sync-05-SYN-A.jpg

Press the Arrows or Seek buttons until Master Reset displays on the screen.
    Press OK.

  • A Confirmation message displays on the screen.
    Press OK.

  • After completing a master reset you will need to pair your phone to SYNC.

If you have Sync it will have an option to master reset, but your car is too old to have been built with it afaik...

You can check on the etis website if it was built with it, I thought it was 2012 they added it...
