Kayajs24
Hi everyone, a bit of a clueless car driver here so go easy! I have a Ford Fiesta Zetec (2016) which had its wing mirror replaced last week (it was knocked off by a passing lorry). Since I got my car back we've been unable to open the doors on the passenger side, which is the side that had the wing mirror replaced. The garage that fixed it is closed today, but I'd just like some advice about what the issue might be before I start blaming the garage for the fault. The doors open fine from the outside, I've checked the child locks and the locks on the side of the doors. I've also tried to reset the lock configuration which is detailed in the manual. Electric windows work and drivers side is fine. Thank you!
E5GDM
Sounds like they've dislodged a wire whilst replacing the mirror. Give them a ring & ask them to check it out. If you have no luck there, take it to fords under warranty.
Willy
Sounds like the cable from the inside handle to the lock isn't connected. It's a case of taking the door card off and reattaching it. Not a long job. Garage can easily rectify that if you don't want to.
