Had my 2014 Tourneo Custom serviced by local dealer .1/2 hour later EML comes on and white smoke pouring out of exhaust during DPF regen.Returned to dealer they said the EGR valve was stuck open and the Dpf was 250% clogged .Replaced Dpf ,EGR valve and Fuel vapour valve and fuel filter cost £1100. 20 miles later same problem, dealer said sensors on Dpf had failed replaced pre and mid temp sensors and glow plug in dpf cost £400.next day same problem.Returned to dealer they said one of the injectors was reading wrong .returned for vehicle and they had changed 1 & 2 injectors cost £600.Drove 50 miles same problem.Has anyone had similar problem and how do i stand as to reclaiming cast of work done so far as they may have replaced parts that were not the problem.

Why are you paying out for this work to be done? Surely this work is covered under the manufacturer warranty?

oh, does sound like they dont know what they are doing, trying to fix the fault and not the cause. . the injectors at fault can cause all the previous faults except for the temp sensors. how long have you had the van for and what journeys do you take? short journeys , low speed in town driving?

what i find strange is you have not mentioned any problems, engine light, warning messages , lack of power prior to it having service.

if they say the dpf was 250% blocked then the engine enters reduced power(limp mode) way before 250%

i dont think you can believe all they are saying. normaly its either blocked vaporiser that causes dpf to fail regen, or broken wiring on one or more temp sensors on dpf.

faulty injectors can can cause all sorts of issues that can block vapourisers/make egr get stuck etc

not an easy one to diagnose unfortunatly.

so how many miles have you done since having the dpf replaced, if only 100 miles or so then im sure it shouldnt be needing regen for a long while yet.

Update replacing injectors did not cure problem.servive manager said as they did not solve problem will not charge me for injectors and admitted they have not got a clue whats wrong. Going to citizens advice and going to try and see Dealer Principal who is based at another branch to demand money already spent back plus compensation.

How do you even get 250% blocked?  Surely 100% blockage is the maximum!?

What was done at the original service just before this started happening?  I can't believe it's just a coincidence?

from your earler description it sounds like the fuel vaporiser glow plug isnt working and is just chucking in diesel , that was quite common for mechanics to change a vaporiser when blocked, not knowing that blown fuse could be the cause of  vapouriser/ glow plug failure.

it still doesnt sound like anyone who has worked on your van knows what they are doing. there cant be many dpf/ fueling components left to change!!!

Update : they replaced the already replaced DPF on friday. since then i have driven 600 miles and van is fine and not smoking.Looks like the 1st replacement DPF was faulty. Was of the road for 9 days whilst they replaced parts that did not need replacing. Looking for a full refund plus loss of earnings.Got meeting with service manager tomorrow.
