Dylster
Hi I could do with some help with an issue I have with my MK2 2005 Ford Focus which I'm pulling my hair out over. I keep getting fault codes P2176 and P2135 coming up, mostly when its damp and been raining - winter weather. I get the Limp Mode and Engine Systems fault coming up on the dash board. Alot of the time this only lasts a couple of minutes and then I'm able to restart. I've changed the sensor on the throttle body, didn't work. I changed the throttle body and didn't work. New battery, spark plugs, coil pack, spark leads, second hand fuel harness and still have the same fault codes coming up. Not all the time. As I said, it's when it's been very wet and damp, that's when the issue comes up. Sometimes the engine ticks over ok with this fault and other times it sounds like it's badly miss firing. I thought maybe the ECU was faulty, but wouldn't that cause other issues and why only in the wet weather? Any help would be appreciated. Apart from this issue, she's a good, reliable car. Dylster
Hi I must admit I hadn't thought of that. I'll take a look. Did you use di-electric grease?
