Escort mk1 advice needed!

Hi everyone,

new to the site and looking for some advice please.

Happy new year to everyone,

So I managed to get my key stuck in the ignition barrel on my 1974 escort last week😂 and have tried everywhere I can think of to get a new assembly with very little luck.
The part number on mine is 70 ab 3675 a2e and have seen this on on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NOS-GENUINE-FORD-ESCORT-Mk1-IGNITION-LOCK-SWITCH-70AB3675A1E-6000721-/252319890964?hash=item3abf6ffe14:g:7WkAAOSwjyVT0Plx  The only difference between the two is this one ends in "1e".
Before I splash out and regret it does anyone know if this one will fit and work or where I could get one?

Very nice Escort there, with the good old pinto engine as well, running on twin 45's? with regards to your question, try posting on the retrorides forum, someone on there may know the answer.

Cheers...yes rûnning on twin 45's fully stripped out just had a dyno showing 162bhp. Thanks for your response. Andy
