Akyrillou3125
I have just purchased a 2.0 litre petrol focus cc2 2010, would I be correct in assuming that it is the zetec engine? I would also like to.do a bit of light engine modification such as airfilter etc to make it sound a bit better and move a bit more any suggestions that are maybe insurance friendly? alexp999
2.0 petrol from 2010 will be a duratec. Even a high performance air filter must be declared to insurance. Some even insist on knowing what optional extras it came with from factory.

alexp999
It's a chain afaik, as my ecoboost is based on it. Should last lifetime of engine.
Dave1981
I've got the same engine in my 2010 Titanium 5 door hatchback.. As for mods I don't know of many without spending a lot of money. Personally I've given mine a good service, new iridium plugs, pipercross filter, good quality engine oil and filter and run it on decent fuel. I did price up a remap but for the 10bhp or so I'd get, mainly at the top end, didn't think it worth it so I'm concentrating on the handling and braking aspects of the car. It's quick nuff as it is in stock trim long as you look after it right Imo.
Akyrillou3125
Thanks for the advice guys. It's good to know I don't have to worry about the cam to much now I'll look into the iridium plugs aswell
Dave1981
It all depends what you want to achieve really. What's the milage of ur engine and service history? Mine is 51000 and it's been serviced every yr without fail. Also helped I got it terracleaned when I bought it which made quite a difference. Cat back system, better air filter and remap will help but the cost may not seem worth the extra bhp you'll get so it all comes back to what you want and how much you wanna spend.
