How to get a second key

Some advice needed again,

I collected my 2010 cc2 focus today, it only has 1 remote key no other keys, is it possible to buy and program another key? Woth out having to pay £100+

Simple answer No. 

New keys cost around £100+

You need the complete key, which from eBay is around £50 then you need it programmed to the car which depending on you skill level can be £15 if you buy the cable or £50 if you get a guy to do it for you. 

But a spare key is a must.

going to ford will cost you the most, timpsons may be able to program new key best to pop in and ask `em first if poss and how much

Assuming its a normal flip key and not the keyless open and start key.

I got a locksmith to supply and programme a flip key only last week, Total cost was £70. inc. VAT
