Best way to paint fog light trim?

Hey Guys, Quick question.

What would be the best way to paint the upper fog light trim of a MK2 focus? Would it just be the standard primer and paint, or would these need sanded at all? The ones on my car are just the plain black, and I'd like to paint them to match the rest of the car.

This is the bit I'm looking to paint.

Yeah light sanding and primer and paint and clear lacquer to protect the coat of paint ... sorted [emoji1303]

Plastic primer, 2-3 layers of colour rubbed down in between with progressively finer wet/dry paper and then a good layer of laquer to finish.
You need plastic primer to allow for flexing (won't crack the paint and ensure a good paint bond) as the trim is pretty bendy.
