David1991
Hi, I currently own a 2013 Focus ST and I'm considering upgrading to something like this https://www.jenningsforddirect.co.uk/newford/view/ford-focus-st-st-3-2.0-tdci-185ps-s6/k8178/ am I going to notice much difference if I do decide to go ahead and get one ? thanks
alexp999
Is your current Focus an ST-1? Very few were sold, most were ST-2 or ST-3. You'll notice more differences in the facelift than the trim level. The Facelift Mk3.5 ST is better at putting the power down too, although it's still pretty hopeless in the wet, lol. Mine is fine in the wet [emoji38].The main differences on the mk3.5 between ST1 & ST3 are-The seats start at cloth then half leather and full leather.Headlights go from halogen to HID.Various other small upgrades.Sent from my SM-G930F
JamieSMcC
And that new one is a diesel, cheaper to run.
Stoney871
And that new one is a diesel, cheaper to run. The mk3.5 does indeed come as diesel and petrol but having driven both I found the diesel to be far less desirable with regards to performance. It is easily outpaced by even a mk2 ST.Sent from my SM-G930F

Sent from my SM-G930F Granted, but even thrashing around some national speed limit A roads it can do 50+ MPG whilst providing more than enough performance to deal with overtaking the old folks in their purple Honda Jazz's that are out for a leisurely sunday drive
