Dagger
Hi Thought something was wrong coming back from work this morning Pulled over and the right hand side front bulb has blown So my question is: How easy is it to replace the bulb and the best type to get, may as well replace both with uprated ones Thanks
Hellboy80
The Mk1 is easy enough to change. Just one pain of a bolt underneath. You will need to get under the car to get to it. When I had my Mk1 I removed the bolt underneath and left it off.
williamweb
Yours is the face lift with integrated lights?if so,to be honest I find the easiest way is to open up the bonnet undo the top light fixings and dislocate the light unit, remembering the unit is connected by wires. At the back of the unit you can see a cover secured in place by a wire clip, release the clip and pop the cover off ,you now have access to the bulbs.Sent from my iPad using Ford OC

I don't know if I was unlucky but they would blow after a month. I stick to thesrandard ones off eurocarparts or if they're a bit pricey (wanted £3.50 per bulb recently), get them off amazon for £1.64 a piece. Whether they'll stand the test of time, I wait to see! LOL The drivers side one is easy, but the other side I guess would be a lot more difficult and would require removal of the entire headlamp
