Hi

i have a Ford Focus 1.8 petrol I have changed the water pump filled up with coolant and it has all leaked out with in a few hours it seems to be coming from half way up the engine block and running down and running out from underneath the bottom crank shaft pulley.

can anyone help with what it could be and how to fix it

Can't you see exactly where it's coming from as that seems to me like a crack in the block without pics and if that is the case then it would be cheaper to buy another car i'm afraid ..

Sorry to reminisce but going back some 45 years Vauxhall / Bedford sold a thing that looked like a bit of dog pooh. you just shoved it in the radiator and Presto job done, don't know what it was made of but it done the job.  Another thing we used was a tin of Colmans mustard powder straight in the radiator. They where the good old days.

I remember using radweld and even once cracking a raw egg in the radiator!
