Try several times and then suddly it started. Appears to be ok at the moment, but concerned as to why this happeaned.Has anyone got any ideas? Its a 1.6 Zetec on a 1999yr Petrol. InstructorPiggy Posted December 21, 2009 Share Posted December 21, 2009 yep, starter actuator....give it a wack with a mallet or a hammer and a piece of 2x2 whilst someone is trying to start the car and it usually goes...I did this for 3months before I gave in and bought a new starter!! :) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
