Do these need replaced?

Does any1 think this anti-roll bar needs replaced?

I'm not sure if the bushings broke.

I have noticed my car swaying/rocking left and right when driving and think this may be it. I've also included a photo of the track rod end because i've heard that that may be the reason for the swaying/rocking.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Dez

Are droplinks also called anti roll bars? Yeah the anti roll bars/droplinks haven't been changed in a while.

Could that be what's causing the swaying/rocking?

They are the links between  anti roll bar and suspension legs so called drop links,

Wont hurt to change them to see if it stop the swaying and rocking

Checked the track rod ends there and theyr fine. Very little to no movement. They got the replace on the last MOT (Oct 2016) so didn't think they'd need replaced but thought I'd check since the bearing looks a bit squashed.

£20 for one anti roll bar link is a bit steep to me (but I'm a cheapskate!)

Unipart have them for £8ish each, delivery is about £5ish iirc.

I changed mine as a matter of course when I did my suspension arm - I think the new ones are aluminium vs the steel of the original ones.

Is it me or does the bolt look sheared in the last photo?

It does, but I think it's just blended in. From taking mine off (one side at a time), the ARB tends to spring away if they're undone.

Hadnt heard of that site before though - so thanks for that.

See, i thought that myself but think it might just be the lighting. The bar is sturdy enough but it definitely looks like its due for a replacement.

I don't think the anti-roll bars would have an effect on the car in normal driving, but only on fast cornering/bumps when the suspension would be pushed to the extremes of its travel.  I am open to correction if I am wrong though!

UPDATE:

Changed my anti roll bar drop links yesterday and seems to have done the trick. Car feels more stable (going around corners, driving on the motorway, normal driving etc).

The droplinks id taken off have never been replaced, they were that rusted on that i ended up having to take them off with an angle grinder.

Thanks for every1s advise.
