Has anyone taken out a Ford Protect Warranty?

I have 3 year protection for paintwork, alloy wheels,tyres, is that what you mean?

No.   This is offered on 2nd hand cars for a price.

Do you mean asset protection, where it guarantees the differnce between what you paid and what you are offered in case of writeoffs or theft.

No that's GAP.   This is Ford Protect Mechanical Breakdown Insurance Policy.

Just done an internet search, Yes I did have it, I extended my 3 year warranty to 5 but it was on a new car,  Ford do advertise that its also available for pre owned, I would think that it has prohibitive conditions attached,

these sorts of breakdown cover rarely offer good value for money , usually with a list of exclusions longer than your arm

i'd carefully scrutinize the fine print before signing up to it............
