Fiesta Sync APPS

With ford sync it has a section for APPs to load into the car and think this must give options of voice control for some apps. I use Spotify on my phone and wondered are these  apps available of any type as all I have found is the phone apps and nothing to load to the car.  Spotify works ok buy often have to start the app on the phone first.

thanks

I do not know the version but has the option within the sync menu on the front sat nav monitor.  car is 03/13 but has a sync module from a 06/13 car fitted.

I also have another sync module from a 15 reg fiesta and wondered if that will work and also if so would it have a later software and any apps ? Not tested  this yet

Seems I have 1.1

I have to say though it's not smooth to use at all, even with a high end Android device

i still find it hard to know if i have sync 1.0 or 1.1 with app link. Mines a 2014 and i have apps listed as an option in the menu but i can't get anything to work. my assumption is that its 1.0 and my guess is that yours is too.

Check with your chassis number on the website I linked to .it will show what you have.

Early 2014 models (and anything earlier obviously) have sync 1.0. Anything built after April 2014 has 1.1 (doesn't mean a car registered in May will have 1.1, check Ford ETIS by entering your reg for the build date).

Just taken a gamble and had delivered a sync module from a 2015 fiesta ST  . I have just installed it and deleted the old paired phones and enabled advanced user mode. I have paired my S7 edge phone and all functions work great. I now at last have a Spotify App installed and said it required a update. The update button was selected and updated the app via the phone and think it said FORD USA ?  .   All systems work fine and just need to play now and explore. One other great feature is the bluetooth audio streaming now has Album and TRACK NAMES  + Track TIME.     My other Sync modules never had these features so do not know if I would have been able to get ford to update it but as my 2015 module was only £60 still cheaper that a ford update and I have later hardware.

Apparently it doesn't recognise mine. Typically though mine was built on 06.03.2014

yes just two plugs and two plastic mounting pins. Sync module is mounted above the black cardboard trim above the passengers footwell  . My module came from a 2015 car and looks the same as the old module apart from it has two sockets and old one had three. The old one had three sockets but only used two plugs so no problem.

If you look at the number on the module on the lower right its the date code in reverse

Looks a decent improvement!

Do you know if the newer SYNC modules work with the old style display (Blue but old style?)

Would love to get track info over bluetooth in my 2013 Zetec

My car was registered 30/03/13 with blue display so can be sure but would think this would work as mine has .  My old module had a build date of 20130128 = 28/01/2013

and old part number was AM5T-14D212-CB      So if yours is the same part number I would say your in with a very good chance.
