AlwaysbuyFord
My car is a Focus Zetec 2.0 petrol manual. Parked the car in the garage on Christmas Eve and left the keys in the ignition. Realised about 36 hours later that I had done this. Went to the garage and found the battery was dead. Charged the battery fully but have now discovered when starting the engine, that the fuel and temperture guage are completely over to the right of the guage (as if I have a full tank and my engine is over heating). Any idea what the problem is? Will it sort itself out or will I have to take to a Ford dealer? Thanks
stef123
hmm this usually happens after disconnecting then reconnecting the battery, but usually with all the gauges and only for a few seconds. like a sort of test type thing. do the gauges return to normal or do they stay at the full position all the time? you could try disconnecting the battery and leave it half an hour then reconnect it and see if it makes any difference.
