Cat-back Exhaust System - Diesel

Hi guys, 

Just wondering if anyone has fitted a cat-back exhaust on a diesel? I've got a 1.6 tdci Focus 2010, I know it won't have as good a sound as a petrol but i've seen a few videos of Longlife systems on diesels and they don't sound too bad. 

Would gutting the dpf improve the noise at all combined with a cat back? I'm planning on that and a remap anyway I just didn't know if that would give it a better sound.
