JamesMalin
I own a Ford Focus Mk3.5 1.0 EcoBoost (125) and was wondering if there are any upgrade to better discs and pads or just replacing my current ones. Had a couple of instances after a spirited drive of brake fade/noise. Had a search on here but only found Mk2 info. Anyone got preferences to brands? EBC? Brembo? Mintex? Pagid? Dave1981
While i can only talk bout my mk2.5 i can def reccommend Brembo. Changed the front n rear discs n pads to Brembo on my 2.0 Titanium as well as a fluid change and it was a marked improvment over the original parts.. suppose it also comes down to your budget..
FatHead1979
Can only speak for my MK2 saloon but I've got Brembo vented (not drilled) discs and EBC yellowstuff pads. Been fitted best part of 2 years, no issues yet and I like to 'drive' the car so all in I'd say I'd defo spend the money on them again on a future car. In part I think it depends how much you want to spend, a lot of people on here seem to speak highly of Mintex as a cost effective upgrade.
