Hi all,

Just wondering if it's possible to change the colour of my dashboard speedo/gauge lights? (Shown in picture)

ive managed to work out how to get the cluster part out, however I need to know if this is a case of a bulb change or if it's a "skin"...not sure of the proper name for it.

if it is a bulb does anyone know the size of it? And if it's possible to replace with LED Bulbs?

thanks in advance any help I would be really great full as I cannot find for the life of me any info on this.

If you're just after changing the colour, you can just get different coloured bulbs. This is provided the dash is a white light already. It should be dead easy to do if you know how to get the cluster out. Last time I did it all I had to do was take the cluster out, and the bulbs were pushed into a socket that was a quarter turn to remove it from the pcb, it sort of clicks into place.

You can replace with LEDs provided you install them correctly, remember they are a set polarity. I've never liked fitting LED's in cars, I've had everything from blown fuses to engine management lights.

Thanks both! Ill check if it is just a light as I think that'll be the best option, is there a way to tell which way around the LED is supposed to go as to not blow fuses?

Also with the Lockwood skin looks pretty good! However I'm not a fan of the white!

cheers guys appreciate it

It's not easy to get the polarity right first time, it's hard to tell on a lot of bulbs. It's very unlikely that you will blow a fuse by putting it in the wrong way, it just won't illuminate. That has been my experience.

You will also have to have decent soldering skills as the smd's are tiny (about 3-4mm x 2-3mm)

Search up rookie mods on insta. She can do this and also if you have a mk6 fiesta she does custom made twin cup holders also

Hey guys, on the first posted image, there is the triple 0's in the bottom middle part of the dashboard. What is it for? I have pretty much the same dashboard and never figured out what is it for.
