The light units need to be taken out to fit the new bulbs. I took mine out when i fitted my LED sidelights, it doesnt taken that long and isnt that hard, just need to follow the hand book on how to do it :)

The white clips you can see in the picture is what holds the light unit in place, they need a little force to pull out other than that its just 3 or 4 screws i think!

Bascally that white clip shown above is the only problem cause you have to pull quite hard but don't be afraid as long as you've followed the book it will pop off :)

Took me about half hour to do all my front lights, bout 20min of this was working out how to get light off in the first place

Edit: Need any help i've got some pictures i can post :)

Have you got blue vision bulbs?

I really want some but want to see another fiesta with them first and hear how much better they are :)

Go for Bosch Xenon Silver bulbs. I guess it's not available in UK yet, so try importing via Internet. H1, H4 and H7 versions are possible.

So glad to use, seems very bright and reasonable alternative to original or late-fitted xenon bulbs. The price is equivalent to 25 pounds (pair).

I fitted Osram Nightbreakers to my car, they don't have much of a bluey tinge but i wanted practical lights and believe me they make driving at night seem like daytime!

If your looking for your headlights to have a xenon blue tint then I'd give the bluevisions a miss, there alot whiter than standard bulbs but still have a yellow tint.

I snapped one of the white clips the other day aswell, I've changed bulbs on the car before and had no problem, but the clip just snapped the other day. May have had something to do with the cold though, it was well below freezing when I did it.

The light doesn't feel any less secure but does anybody know where I can get a replacement clip on the Internet?

I broke the clip too when I was changing my bulbs, you can get one at your Ford dealer, my was maybe for 5€?

I bought the philips bluevision lights as both of the original headlight bulbs blew. They are brighter than the standard bulbs, but how they can be advertised as 'blue' is beyond me as they are yellowy white.

Ford would solve this problem by offering xenons as an option, headlight washers would be particularly useful as well in this weather.

So everyone would say not to get the blue visions and get the xenon ice white?

My vision blues are ok and don't have a yellow tinge, be careful as some bulbs can be too bright for road use.

the White clip is what I would think is holding it down. Make sure u have all the screws out and give it a little more force. Worse that can happen is you have to buy another clip :)
