Any Positive Curtain Airbag Recall stories?

Hi folks

Over the last few weeks I've been reading lots of depressing stories about the curtain airbag recalls and the shoddy work being done by the dealers.

Has anyone had any positive experiences with this job? I'm asking because mine is going in next week for the work... dun dun duh!!!

I'm praying to the Evans Halshaw Garage God right now

I had mine done last month and it went very well. However the sill light saying edge only now lights up when the hand brake is on, I don't remember it doing that before ....

All replaced without incident on mine at EH several weeks ago, just wish they could similarly sort out the driver's window/door wind noise & "auto-relock"

Yes, success here as well! EH at Old Trafford did a great job. No issues.

Phew!

Mine went very well lat Tuesday (8 August)

Apart from dealers technicians managing to break my dash cam, they told me headlining has to be dropped to do this, but replaced dash cam immediately when damage pointed out to them.

Door sill lights etc all still working as they were before airbag rework done.

Aside from a couple of grubby finger marks on the headlining, mine fitted without problem.

Mine done today EH Wolverhampton, very clean, no marks, given courtesy car, taken 2 days, all electrics appear to be working ok, even rewired dash cam back into trim 😀😀👍👍

Had mine done by my local small independent at the end of November and it was a great job ... they parts they removed were spotless and they valeted the whole of the inside as well!

Nightmare had at mine (EAG). Changed back in September last year, damaged most of the trim in the process and tried to bodge it back. Fords not impressed with them. Still waiting on one more final piece of trim that needs replacing and then it will be back to being perfect again.
