Hi

I have I problem with my 2004 streetka.

The check engine light is on and the code I have got is P0444. Apparently this means

evaprative emissions control system purge control valve circuit open

I was wondering if anyone know what part was at falt here and where it is/how to fix it.

Many thanks

Matt

Most likely the purge valve itself, a split pipe or a wiring fault.  Pretty sure they're mounted on the bulkhead behind the engine on the Ka, looks like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-KA-MK1-1-3-VACUUM-CONTROL-PURGE-VALVE-SENSOR-UNIT-96FVB-9C915-/152693105844?hash=item238d37e4b4:g:BbgAAOSwwxJZdEe1

I'd check for any splits in the pipes first, if none then try replacing with a good used one.
