What's this plug for

Hi just need a little help for a friend any ideas what this plug is for it's behind the headlight it's a mk 2 1.8 tdci on a 55 plate?

Daytime Running Lights/Front Parking sensors/Headlamp washers ??

Possibly foglights ? if none fitted.

It's also unused on my 2008 Titanium.  I have Xenons with headlight washers so not for either of those, also have fogs so not them either.  Don't think any mk2 came with DRLs?

I don't have parking sensors so it may be for them.

it was not compulsary for daytime running lights when that car was manufactured (if for UK use) so it was unused in england. In Sweden as an example it would have drl's plugged in because they were compulsary

Fair point!  Can't think I've seen any standard fit ever though, even on foreign mk2s.  Is that definitely what that plug's for?

Tbh if I lived in Sweden I'd probably buy the V50 instead! :laugh: I guess it's changed now but my Dad went travelling around Sweden a while ago...in a Mk1 Escort Mexico...snapped a leaf spring on a pothole and there weren't ANY in Sweden, had a Volvo hire car to continue the trip while one was flown over lol!
