hotashel
Hi, Just been driving down the bypass when my beloved mark 4 escort cabby lost all power, I clutched it straight away and pulled in to the rather appropriatly placed lay-by. On further inspection (With denim mini skirk in the air) I plucked out my poor cambelt which is no longer in tact. I am hoping that as my car is a petrol and only 8v and the fact I stopped right away will go in my favour (I was getting an engine rebuild, but didnt want it yet). I have a cambelt kit on order and was just wondering how difficult it is going to be to time it back up. ps i'm so sad right now my poor baby H

All you can do is get the timming set-up check nothing has siezed then replace the belt and hope for the best. Hope it's a cheap fix for you.
