hi was looking if anyone can tell me what this wire and connector is for as it has come loose and i cant see were it has cone from

Footwell lighting I believe, you should have one on the passenger side too.

Definitely footwell lights.
They take a T10 bulb and you should be able to find the mounting hole under the dash ok.
