#159055 Sux To Be Orcomma

Posted by mikester on 02 January 2012 - 05:56 PM

Dockers are you like this on every forum you're a member of?!
Nath doesn't have to help anyone especially those who show little or no faith in his responses.

I can 100% vouch for Nath, he's got me USB in my car when it wasnt stock. Plus i wouldn't be paying him for parts and labour if he wasn't legit.

8 people..... sounds about right for this place. number is irrelevant, its still a democratic vote and the majority think it should be different.

why don't we sticky it lol

#148999 Too Many Pinned Items?

Posted by mikester on 18 October 2011 - 07:27 PM

i agree with the OP. it looks messy and some of the pinned topics shouldn't really be pinned as they're common sense.

i'd move them to a dedicated help section for members only to get more monies but hey what do i know..

not sure what noob is or means, so am slightly disadvantaged here.
Still not sure why you bothered to get involved in a conversation that you have no interest in ?
there are plenty of things I have seen on here which don't interest me, but they do others, and I just don't comment. Still we are not all the same.
On the warrenty issue point, can I ask please;
If you go over a speed bumb a bit fast and your aviators fall out your overhead holder, cutting your head, can you make a claim, or will Ford's refuse as it is not a Fiesta part fitted ??
Finally, do Red cars still go pink after a certain amount of time or has that issue been resolved ?

This is fun, that's why :)

Firstly, speedbumps and me have a very special relationship, as in being lowered I give them more respect than everyone else. So my shades will never fall out in that scenario. You really have an issue with the sunglasses holder, have you suffered a misfortune at the hands of this convenient and useful feature?

Secondly I believe you're mistaking the red paintfade with the vauxhall brand. Take a look on zsoc or ukfn for old school Colorado red or even radiant red which don't really experience fading to pink. Besides a little bit of wax and sealant would negate the effects of the sun if you were referring to a vauxall, and I have tonnes of protection on mine.

It really says something when you have to resort to attacking the colour of my car. It's a diesel you know, you can use that as ammunition too if you'd like ;)

Dan- no-ones getting hurt, can we see what other insults can be drawn from my signature please?

Just out of interest, were you excited when you got your car ?
What is the point of a forum, other than people asking and answering, and talking about whatever they want.
Never quite understood why people get involved in a conversation they have no interest in or have anything useful to say.
But suppose it takes all sorts

I did get excited but I didn't spam up a public forum boring other people with it. Oh and if you post something on a public forum expect the public to comment if you don't like the idea of other people not seeing your point the the forums are not for you.

Unfortunately this forum is like you say full of people asking questions, the majority of the time they are extremely easy questions to answer with a bit of common sense or dare I say it... by reading your owners manual.

I however with some other fellow modders like to post updates and pics of stuff we've done to our cars, oh how I wish there were more of those type threads.

Anyway for those who were as disappointed as me when entering this thread:

i meant more along the lines of its a bit pointless. i could start a thread with "anyone seen a titanium with dress up kit on the road" or "anyone seen a s1600 134ps on the road"? i know you're excited but it seems more like you're ASW'ing. I'm excited about all kinds of stuff, i don't crave attention for it on a public forum however.

Besides i got excited to see some mangled wreck of a car as a result of some metal on the road, how i was disappointed :(

#122850 Hids On Mk7

Posted by mikester on 14 April 2011 - 01:11 PM

And another thing, I've never failed an MOT for doing 31 in a 30 zone either. The car is not road worthy, therefore another avenue for an insurance company to go down if a claim is made.

On that note, as with every change on my car my insurer is aware of my xenons, that and I will pass my MOT with them as the garage I use couldn't tell the difference between halogen and hid light (mine are 5k)

And for the record, fitting HIDs is not against the law.

Not having an MOT however is illegal. But remember your car could ride over a nail when you leave a testing station and be unroadworthy in the eyes of an MOT tester therefore your breaking the law.

Read in between those lines as much as you like.

Haha out come the HID haters, only on this forum have I seen people ridiculed and bullied out of fitting them.

I've had them on all my cars, never been pulled, never been flashed.

FYI our wheels were not the same as yours (same size but different design we had the 7 spoke ones).

doesn't mean they're made of a different material.

I'm on the 17s and on coilovers so my situation lends itself more so to this problem yet mine are fine.

What exactly is the problem anyway? I mean you never knew until you were told they were buckled so it obviously didn't affect the drive. Can you not put new tyres in cos there is a flat spot? Tony buckles are nothing to worry about.
