Hi Looking for some new tyres for high milage can anyone recomend best make also both outside of rear tyres have worn down anyone know why

I Have a tomtom 720 and use the memory card to listen to music through the aux plug into the sony system. this is great untill i plug in the 12v power cable then it whistles. Ive pluged it in outher fords and it still whistles the tomtom has been for repair and today it has been exchanged and it still whistles now i dont know what to do do i need some kind of suppression system?
